The Designer, October 1905: This publication is a fascinating read. Filled with information and pictures of patterns that were available to the home seamstress, this issue also featured such articles as "Jiu Jitsu for Women", "New Styles in Hairdressing" and a few stories. The hairdressing article and an article on dressmaking are inlcuded on the pages "Beauty" and "Sewing Techniques". Click on the cover at left to view the illustrations of women's garments..

Lingerie Hats, July, 1906: "This season the lingerie hat had taken on a new lease of life and bids fair to be the chapeau par excellence". An interesting article on millnery from 1906; includes three photographs of hats.
